Grant Kipp allowed two earned runs and four hits over 6 2/3 innings for the Bulldogs in a 4-0 loss at Washington in Seattle on Friday night.
Kipp gave up one run over the first six innings and retired the first two batters in the seventh before the Huskies rallied to add insurance runs.Â
At the plate, Yale's best scoring chance came in the fifth. Â
Jake Williams reached on a one-out infield single to short and advanced to second on a wild pitch.Â
Alec Atkinson followed with a walk, and moved up a base with Williams after a
Colton Shaw groundout. Â Both were left stranded. Â
Carson Swank and
Jimmy Chatfield also had hits for the Bulldogs, who fell to 1-3 on the season.  Washington improved to  6-3. Tonight marked the first meeting between the two programs.Â
Mike Brown put Washington on the board in the second with a RBI double. Â The Huskies added three in the seventh - all with two outs.Â
The two teams return to action on Saturday for a doubleheader set to begin at 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Â Â
