PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Yale men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 5-2 decision at No. 41 Penn at the Hamlin Tennis Center.
Yale's doubles team of
Luke Neal and
Michael Sun posted a 6-4 victory at No. 3, but the Quakers won the other two matches to capture the doubles point.
In singles, the Bulldogs got victories from
Theo Dean at No. 2 and
Luke Neal at No. 6. Both won in straight sets.
The Quakers (16-4 overall) improved to 3-0 in Ivy League play.
Yale (1-2 Ivy) plays its first home league match next Saturday vs. Cornell at 1 p.m.
