NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Cornell at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
The doubles point was highly contested. Yale's duo of
Theo Dean and
Aidan Reilly were 6-2 winners at No. 2, while the Big Red won 6-4 at No. 1. At No. 3, Cornell's Pietro Rimondini and Evan Bynoe won in a tiebreaker that ended 9-7.
In singles, Dean posted a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 2.
Walker Oberg and
Luke Neal also were winners in singles.
The Bulldogs are back home on Sunday, hosting No. 25 Columbia at 1 p.m.
