CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A young Yale men's tennis team showed its future is bright in its final match of 2022. The Bulldogs fell 4-0 to No. 14 Harvard in a match closer than the final score indicates.
The Bulldogs narrowly dropped the doubles point. Yale's duo of
Aidan Reilly and
Theo Dean posted a 6-2 victory at No. 2. The Bulldogs' other two teams –
Cody Lin and
Renaud Lefevre and
Michael Sun and
Luke Neal - both lost in tiebreakers.
In singles, Dean was one game from victory at No. 1 when his match was stopped. He had a 6-2, 5-4 lead. Neal won the first set and was ahead 2-0 in the second set of his match at No. 6 before it was stopped.
Lin is the only senior on Yale's roster.
