Brandau's seven goals tied his career high, and his 11 points set a new personal mark. Additionally, he reached the 100 career goal plateau and now has 103 total scores. Brandau is the eighth Bulldog to reach the milestone and passes Tom Zaccagnino '96 (100 goals) for 7th all-time. Brandau, who has 65 career assists, is also three assists from passing Adam Puritz '88 for 10th all-time and already ranks eighth all-time at Yale with 168 career points. Next up on that list is Matt Gibson '12 at 172.
Yale (9-3, 3-2 Ivy League) outscored the Bobcats 8-2 in the first, with Brandau getting a hat trick within the first nine minutes. Quinnipiac stopped a 6-0 Yale run with a goal 14 seconds before the break.
The Bulldogs scored seven of the first eight goals of the second to get the lead to 15-3. Those goals came from six different players, including Brandau (two), senior midfielder

Brad Sharp. Quinnipiac answered with a 3-0 run to get within nine heading into the second half.
Quinnipiac (2-10, 1-4 MAAC) scored the first two goals of the third quarter, cutting Yale's lead to 15-8. Rookie midfielder
Johnny Keib snapped that streak, firing in a feed from Brandau at 7:46 of the third.
Brandau then tacked on another goal, leaping to squeeze one past Bobcat goalkeeper Nick DiMuccio (19 saves) from a tough angle, but Quinnipiac answered with three straight goals heading into the final break. Yale's lead was 17-11 after three.
Brandau continued his memorable night with a goal and an assist (on a Lyons goal) within the first 3:07 of the fourth. Keib scored again to complete his hat trick with 8:21 to play, while Quinnipiac scored a pair to make the final 20-13.

Up next for Yale, the Bulldogs host Harvard this Saturday at 2 p.m. on ESPNU. The two teams are currently part of a five-way tie for first place in the Ivy League standings, with only four teams making the Ivy Tournament.
