Gogineni Wins Flight at Duke Bonk Invitational

First year cruises to straight sets victory

DURHAM, N.C. – It was a memorable first career collegiate tournament for first year Vignesh Gogineni. He won his flight at the Duke Bonk Men's Tennis Invitational, cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over UNCW's Davide Inocenti in the final.
 
Walker Oberg also advanced to the final in his flight. He and Miami's Antonio Pratt battled for three sets with Pratt winning a tight deciding set 7-5.
 
The Bulldogs' doubles team of Gogineni and Theo Dean also won their match on the day, defeating a team from Miami.
 
Gogineni posted a 6-1 record in the tournament.
 
Next up for the Bulldogs is the ITA All-American Championships which get under way on Oct. 1.
