Bulldogs Blank Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Yale women's hockey team defeated Saint Anselm College, 6-0, at Sullivan Arena. With the win, the Bulldogs moved to 15-1-1 overall, while the Hawks moved to 11-13-2 overall.

How It Happened
  • Elle Hartje started the first goal sequence for Yale late in the first period. Hartje circled off the boards and slid a pass down to Charlotte Welch, who found Claire Dalton on one knee at the backdoor.
  • At the 11:50 mark of the second period, Kaitlyn Rippon found Vita Poniatovskaia on the 2-v-1 for her to roof home.
  • Yale's third goal began and ended with Welch. Welch gave a backhanded pass to Dalton entering the zone. Dalton found Carina DiAntonio and with a heads up play, DiAntonio threaded the needle to Welch, who made a nifty backhanded flick into the back of the net.
  • On the powerplay in the third period, Emma Seitz ripped a shot on net that DiAntonio tipped in for the four-goal lead.
  • Dalton, who was all over the ice in the contest, notched the Bulldogs' fifth goal after cleaning up a rebound in front of goal.
  • Yale capped the scoring with 1:15 remaining in the game as Seitz ripped a rocket on goal from the hash marks that went in.
