NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's fencing team opened the season in impressive fashion, winning all five of its bouts at the Brandeis Invitational in early December. The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday at the Penn State Invitational. Yale faces the Nittany Lions at 8:30 a.m. and also fences against Haverford, North Carolina, Temple and Duke.
The Bulldogs beat Brandeis, MIT, Boston College, St. John's, Wellesley and Tufts, all convincingly, in their season-opening Invitational.
Sunday is the start of a busy stretch for Yale, which will compete in the Philadelphia Invitational next weekend and then host Sacred Heart and Vassar on Jan. 28 inside Payne Whitney Gym.
