NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team played to a 0-0 draw against Union. The tie puts Yale at 3-10-4 overall and 2-8-2 in the ECAC, while the Dutchmen moved to 8-13-2 overall and 3-8-1 in the conference.
 
How It Happened

• After two scoreless periods, Union seemed to find the back of the net until their goal was called back due to a major penalty in the sequence.
• The game then remained deadlocked at zero and eventually went to a five-minute overtime period.
• The Bulldogs had opportunities in overtime, but the frame went scoreless once again, which forced a shootout to determine the extra points in standings.
• Union squeaked by with a 1-0 advantage in the shootout to secure the points.

Notes

• Luke Pearson made 23 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
• William Dineen was 68.4% in the faceoff circle.
• Briggs Gammill, Cole Donhauser, and Ian Carpentier had four shots each.
