HAMDEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team fell to No. 12 UConn, 6-1, to open the Connecticut Ice Tournament, hosted by Quinnipiac. The Bulldogs' record fell to 3-13-4 overall, while the Huskies improved to 16-7-3.

How It Happened
- UConn struck first on the powerplay at the 8:19 mark of the first period. The Huskies went on to add a second goal at the 17:43 mark of the period.
- The second period was a frenzy of goals in favor of UConn. After scoring back-to-back powerplay goals, the Huskies added two more late-period tallies to extend their lead to six.
- Yale found the back of the net on the powerplay as Quinton Ong scored off a rebound at 8:57 of the third period.
- Luke Pearson got the start and made 20 saves, while Nathan Reid made eight saves in relief.
