Bulldogs Play to a Tie With No. 8 Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Yale men's hockey team played to a 3-3 tie with No. 8 Merrimack at Lawler Rink. The result puts the Bulldogs at 2-10-2 overall, while the Warriors moved to 14-5-1 overall.
 
How It Happened
  • Just 1:43 into the game, Ian Carpentier cashed in on a mistake made by the Merrimack defense and roofed it.
  • At the 15:36 mark, Merrimack tied the game.
  • Carpentier did it again at the 18:21 mark of the second period. Reilly Connors won a battle behind the net, rounded the goal mount, and slid the puck for Carpentier to sneak through.
  • Yale's third goal came as Ryan Conroy entered the zone, opened up and found Cole Donhauser on the doorstep ready and waiting.
  • Merrimack added two third period goals to send it to overtime.
  • After five minutes of extra time, neither team could find the back of the net.
