TULSA, Okla. – Vignesh Gogineni got off to a strong start at the ITA All-American Championship. Gogineni won two matches on Saturday in the pre-qualifying round. In his first match, he posted an impressive 6-1, 6-3 victory over Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez of the University of Louisiana.
 
Gogineni then advanced again when his opponent in the next round was forced to retire in the second set due to injury. Gogineni had won the first set against Cal's Derrick Chen 6-2.
 
Gogineni will face Gardner Webb's Eduardo Dias on Sunday at noon EDT.
