PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhys Bentham scored in the winding minutes of overtime as the Yale men's hockey team defeated Brown, 3-2, at Meehan Auditorium.
 
Scoring Summary

• P2, 1:12 | Brown found the back of the net early into the second period with an even-strength goal from Max Scott.
• P2, 9:01 | David Chen lit the lamp for Yale's first goal of the season from Niklas Allain and Bayard Hall.  
• P3, 00:51 | Less than a minute into the final frame, Chen on the half wall found Briggs Gammill in front. Gammill's first touch was a tip and he picked up the loose change in front and finished it off with a backhander.
• P3, 15:55 | Brown answered with under five minutes to go in the game.
• OT | The Bulldogs started overtime on the penalty kill. With 1:14 left, Gammill entered the offensive zone and made a drop pass to Rhys Bentham. Bentham made a move to his backhand, deking the goaltender, and was able to sail it on the backhand into the back of the net.

• Rhys Bentham recorded his first career goal with the overtime winner.
• David Chen and Briggs Gammill each picked up a goal and an assist.
• Nathan Reid made 23 saves in the Bulldogs' win.
