Bulldogs Blank Princeton on the Road

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's hockey team defeated Princeton, 4-0, at the Hobey Baker Rink. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 6-17-4 overall and 5-13-2 in the ECAC, while the Tigers fell to 12-15-0 overall and 8-12-0 in the conference.
 
Scoring Summary
  • P1, 10:29 | Ian Carpentier cycled around the outskirts of goal and ripped a shot that found the back of the net.
  • P2, 8:43 | Niklas Allain won a draw to the half wall where Briggs Gammill scooped it up and slid it to Brandon Tabakin at the point. Tabakin lasered a shot on goal that found its was into the goal.
  • P3, 11:41 | David Chen capitalized on bad pass by the Tigers in the neutral zone and went in all alone for the breakaway finish and the three-goal lead.  
  • P3, 18:55 | Carpentier iced the game with an empty net goal.

  • Nathan Reid made 40 saves in goal for Yale.
  • This was Reid's second shutout of the season. His first came against Brown in the season opener. 
  • It was Ian Carpentier's first multi-goal game of the season.
  • It was Yale's first win over Princeton in three games played since 2020.
