The 10th-seeded Bulldogs are ready to go head-to-head for the Battle of Whitney Avenue against top-seeded Quinnipiac in the ECAC Hockey quarterfinals. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and for international viewing on Stretch Internet.
Bulldog Bytes
	- Yale enters the series with an 8-18-4 overall record, and a 6-14-2 ECAC record.
 
	- Ian Carpentier is our leading point getter with 17 on the season behind nine goals and eight assists.
 
	- Reilly Connors, the hero from the opening round, leads the team with three game-winning goals.
 
	- David Chen has been Yale's top first year on the offensive front. He has seven goals, including a game-winner, and seven assists.
 
	- William Dineen hot streak in the dot has extended into the postseason. In the opening round, he had a 46.7% success rate. On the season, he has won 252 faceoffs and 52.6% of his draws.
 
	- Luke Pearson and Nathan Reid have split time in between the pipes for Yale. Pearson has a .926 save percentage with three shutouts, while Reid has a .909 save percentage and two shutouts.
 
Yale in the ECAC Tournament
	- The Bulldogs are two-time ECAC Champions.
 
	- Yale's last postseason best-of-three series win was a 2-1 series against Union in 2019-20. After dropping the first game, 3-0, the Bulldogs bounced back with a 4-1 victory to tie the game. From there, they closed it out with a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory. The remainder of the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic.
 
 
Yale and Quinnipiac in the Postseason
	- The last time the pair met in the postseason was during the 2017-18 playoffs when Yale hosted Quinnipiac in the first round of ECAC playoffs. Quinnipiac took both games of the best-of-three series, 5-1 and 4-1.
 
	- Before that, the pair met in the 2014 ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals as the Bobcats swept the Bulldogs, 6-2 and 5-3, in Hamden.
 
	- Yale and Quinnipiac met in the 2013 NCAA National Championship Game. That tilt saw Yale win, 4-0, en route to their first national championship win in program history. They also faced each other in the 2013 ECAC Hockey Tournament consolation game. Quinnipiac took that game, 3-0.
 
	- Quinnipiac has a 7-2 all-time record against Yale in the postseason.
 
 
This Season Against Quinnipiac
The Bobcats took both meetings of the season against the Bulldogs. First, a 4-0 victory on Nov. 12 at Ingalls Rink before they snagged a 5-1 victory on Feb. 17.
 
Scouting Quinnipiac
	- Quinnipiac finished the season 28-3-3 overall and 20-2-0 in the ECAC.
 
	- The squads two losses came in back-to-back nights as the Bobcats fell to Cornell, 4-0, on Jan. 20, and 3-2 to Colgate the next night.
 
	- Collin Graf has been leading the charge on offense for the Bobcats with 49 points. He has seven powerplay goals, tied for a team-high, and four game-winning goals.
 
	- Zach Metsa is an anchor on Quinnipiac's blueline that also contributes heavily on offense. Metsa has 27 points (six goals and 21 assists).
 
	- Yaniv Perets has gotten the nod in 34 starts for Quinnipiac. He has a .927 save percentage, 1.55 goals against average, and eight shutouts.
