Lake Charles, La.  – First-year Beck Milner had three hits in a in a 9-4 loss at McNeese State on Sunday.
 
All nine hitters in the lineup reached base, and Bulldogs had 10 hits in the game but could not get piece together enough hits to break through.   Yale scored one in the fourth, two in the sixth and one more in the ninth.
 
Jeff Pierantoni, who had two hits, tripled to lead off the fourth and scored on a Jimmy Chatfield ground out to cut the Cowboys' lead to 5-1.  Later in the game, Chatfield would reach on a bunt single and extend his on-base streak to 51 straight games.
 
In the sixth, AJ Gaich singled to right and scored on an error.  Jake Williams also scored on the play.
 
McNeese scored again in seventh and eighth to make 9-3. 
 
Milner added a single up the middle for Yale to score Davis Hanson in the ninth. Ben Metzner and Carson Swank also had hits for the Bulldogs, who finished up a 13-game road stretch.
 
The Bulldogs will open their home schedule on Wednesday against Quinnipiac.
