NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's tennis team is back on the road this weekend, traveling south to meet Penn on Saturday and Princeton on Sunday. Both matches begin at 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs (9-11, 1-2 Ivy) are coming off a 4-0 victory over Dartmouth last Sunday. Yale swept the three doubles matches and got singles victories from Chelsea Kung, Vivian Cheng and Rebecca Lynn.

Cheng is 3-0 in singles action in Ivy play, while dropping only one set. Lynn is unbeaten at No. 5 and also has dropped just one set. Against Harvard's Mihaela Marculescu, Lynn won the first set and was tied 5-5 in the second set when her match was stopped.

Kung, at No. 1, is coming off a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory over Dartmouth's Chidimma Okpara. Kung is likely to face Princeton's Daria Frayman on Sunday. Frayman is No. 6 in the ITA computer singles rankings. Last year, Kung upset Frayman, who was ranked No. 1 in the nation at the time, as Yale handed Princeton its first Ivy League loss since 2017.

Penn (11-6, 1-2 Ivy) split two matches last weekend, beating Cornell 4-2 and then falling to Columbia 4-0. The Quakers lost to Princeton 4-1 to begin Ivy play.

Princeton, which hosts Brown on Saturday, is ranked No. 55 by the ITA. The Tigers (12-6, 3-0 Ivy) swept Columbia and Cornell last weekend. In addition to being ranked in singles, Frayman and Grace Joyce are No. 27 in doubles.
