PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Yale softball team fell to Brown in a pair of games, 6-3 and 1-0, at the Brown Softball Field. With the losses, the Bulldogs fell to 19-21 overall and 10-10 in the Ivy League, while the Bears improved to 13-25 overall and 9-11.

Game 1: Brown 6, Yale 3
- B1 | In the bottom of the first, Brown scored on a single to left field from Julia Gubner.
- B2 | Brown extended its lead to three with a two-run home run from Jasmine Hsiao.
- T3 | The Bulldogs found the scoresheet in the top of the third. With two outs, Libby Peoples hit a RBI double to left field.
- B3 | The bottom half of the inning saw the Bears pick up two more runs on two hits to extend their lead to four runs.
- B4 | Fourth inning action saw Brown tack on another run to make it a five-run lead. Nicole Conway came into the game in relief.
- T6 | Yale's Carmen Muscolina injected life into the Bulldogs' offense. Muscolina knocked a two-out homer down the left field line to cut Brown's lead in half.
- Conway kept Brown off the board and allowed just two hits scattered across three innings. She grabbed four strikeouts in the process, but Browns steady offense was the difference.Â

Game 2: Brown 1, Yale 0
- After three and a half scoreless innings, Brown got on the board, scoring on a sacrifice fly.
- Yale had multiple opportunities to strike, but the Bears warded the Bulldogs off the base path.Â
- Maddie Latta pitched the full game with two strikeouts in 23 batters faced.

Yale has a quick turnaround time before they play again. The Bulldogs return to the Brown Softball Field on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. to round out the three-game series with a single game.
