NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's lacrosse team has earned the No. 2 seed in the Ivy League Tournament, set for May 5 and 7 at Penn Park in Philadelphia. The Bulldogs earned the seed after finishing in a three-way tie for second place in the Ivy League with Harvard and Princeton. All three teams had 4-3 league records after the Tigers beat the Crimson 17-13 in New Jersey on Sunday. Yale earned the best seed among the three teams based on goal differential in head-to-head games (Yale was +4, Princeton was -1 and Harvard was -3).
The Bulldogs will face the No. 3 seeded Tigers Friday at 4:00 p.m., while Harvard is the No. 4 seed and will face No. 1 seed and host Penn. The winners of those semifinal games meet in the Ivy League Championship game Sunday at 12:00 p.m. All games will be streamed on ESPN+. Tickets will be on sale shortly. The winner of the Ivy League Tournament receives the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Selections for the NCAA Tournament include 15 from leagues with automatic berths:

Fourteen teams will be selected at large. The top eight teams in the 29-team bracket for the championship are seeded. The top three teams receive first-round byes.
The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday, May 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET on
ncaa.com. First-round games (13 of them) take place May 12 at campus sites.
The 2023 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., May 26 (semifinals) and 28 (championship).
