BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A day after defeating Princeton in a one-run game, the Bulldogs' bats exploded for a 16-7 victory at Sacred Heart on Tuesday afternoon.
Jimmy Chatfield and
Max Imhoff homered, and
Daniel Cohen earned his third victory of the season. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 16-21 overall and will not play again until May 13.
Chatfield,
Carson Swank and
Alec Atkinson each had three RBI, while
AJ Gaich and
Jeff Pierantoni both scored three runs. Pierantoni also had three hits.
The Bulldogs took a 4-1 lead into the fourth, and scored 12 runs combined in the fourth, fifth and sixth. Today's run total tied a season-high mark for the Bulldogs, who also scored 16 runs on two other occasions.
