COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rising senior Elle Hartje, rising sophomore Jordan Ray, and recent graduate Emma Seitz '23 of the Yale women's hockey team have been selected to participate in the 2023 USA Hockey Women's National Festival in Lake Placid, N.Y. Yale's assistant coach, Mackenzie Bruch will serve as the U.S. Collegiate Select Team Goaltending Coach. The festival, which will be hosted at the Herb Brooks Arena, will run from August 7, 2023 until August 13, 2023.

Hartje, who was named captain of the 2023-24 Bulldogs in May, is no stranger to USA Hockey competitions. The Detroit native participated as a member of the 2018 U.S. Under-18 Women's Select team that competed at the 2018 U-18 Series against Team Canada in Calgary, Alberta. Hartje also participated in the 2017 and 2018 USA Hockey Women's National Festivals and 2017 and 2018 Girls U-18 Select Player Development Camp.

Last season, Hartje earned a plethora of awards for her performances throughout the season. She was named an All-America recipient, as well as First Team All-ECAC and First Team All-Ivy selections. In addition, she was named the Ivy League Player of the Year, Second Team All-USCHO, and a New England Division I Women's All-Stars by the NEHWA.

Ray earns her first invitation to a USA Hockey festival with her selection to the roster. The Viera, Fla. native is coming off a strong first collegiate campaign at Yale that saw her tied for first on the team in goals (17) and was second on the team in points (42) behind Hartje who had 52. ECAC Co-Rookie of the Year and ECAC All-Rookie team honors. During the season, she was named to the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) Rookie of the Year Watch List.

A two-time All-American and two-time ECAC Defender of the Year, Seitz will now attend her third festival after attending in 2021 and 2022. In 30 games in her senior season, Seitz recorded 11 goals and 11 assists, while sporting a plus-26 on the ice and 37 blocks. In addition to her All-American nod and DOY award, Seitz was named First Team All-ECAC, First Team All-Ivy, and a NEWHA Division 1 Women's All-Star.

Bruch, who joined the Bulldogs' coaching staff in October 2021, has been invited to multiple USA Hockey Regional and National Team Selection Camps, including the USA Hockey Girl's National 15s and Under-22 Select Team, and now adds the 2023 Festival to her resume.
