FAIRFIELD, Conn. – In its first match of the 2023 regular season, the Yale women's soccer team picked up a 2-2 draw against Sacred Heart University. The Pioneers, in their third game of the season, moved to 0-2-1.

"Getting any points on the road is always something to feel good about," said
Sarah Martinez, The Loring Family Head Coach. "With that said, we all wanted a little more from that one. It was obviously our first game back, but it looked like we had some nerves to start, and it took a little while to find our rhythm. Once we did that, I thought we had some exciting moments. Anita [Thorvaldsdottir] had a great performance with some special plays that she typically puts away, but unfortunately caught the post three times tonight."
