Box Score SEATTLE, Wash. – The Yale women's soccer team fell to the University of Washington, 2-1, at Husky Soccer Stadium. With the loss, Yale moved to 1-1-1 on the season, while the Huskies improved to 3-1-1.
 
Scoring Summary

• 23' | Ashley Kirschner got Yale on the board in the first half. A ball from Nana Yang played into the final third bounced through two defenders and found Kirschner. The sophomore helped the ball trickle past the goalkeeper and tapped it into the back of the net.
• 57' | Washington netted the game-tying goal.
• 71' | The Huskies found the back of the net once again, which proved to be the decider.

 
Notes

• It was a homecoming for Head Coach Sarah Martinez, who returned to her alma mater.
• Andie Miller and Ashley Kirschner are both Washington natives.
• Kirschner scored her second goal of the season in her homecoming. She also tallied three shots. 
• Marisa Shorrock made five saves in goal.
