EVANSTON, Ill. – Betsy Goodenow and Illinois native Gigi Barr had eight kills apiece in a 3-0 loss at Northwestern on Friday night.  The scores of the match were 25-22, 25-19 and 25-13. 

Match summary:

• The Wildcats (6-4) snapped Yale's four-match win streak.
• The Bulldogs scored four straight points to tie the first set at 17-17 in a rally started on a kill by Barr.
• Isabella Mendoza snapped a 20-20 tie later in the first set with a kill to give the Bulldogs the lead late in the opener. Northwestern scored five of the set's final six points.
• Laurece Abraham had five kills tonight and now has 19 on the season while hitting .366.
• Yale held a 3-2 edge in service aces – including two from Goodenow. 
• Tonight marked Yale's first match against a Big 10 Conference opponent since a 3-1 loss to Indiana on September 8, 2019.
