Kim Scores Twice as Yale Tops Sacred Heart 3-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A big day for senior forward/midfielder Ashley Kim propelled the Yale field hockey team to a 3-1 win vs. Sacred Heart Sunday afternoon at Johnson Field. Kim, the Bulldogs' captain, scored twice in a span of 8:16 in the third quarter to turn a 1-0 SHU lead into a 2-1 Yale lead. A goal by sophomore forward Poppy Beales in the fourth gave Yale (2-4, 0-0 Ivy League) some breathing room. Sacred Heart (1-5, 0-0 NEC) was held without a shot in the final quarter and could not mount a comeback.
