MILWAUKEE, Wis. – It was a strong finish to the Milwaukee Classic for
Theo Dean and
Vignesh Gogineni, who each won a pair of matches on Saturday in the consolation bracket.

Dean played two thrilling matches, needing super tiebreakers to win both. First, he defeated Illinois' Lucas Horve in a match where each of the first two sets went to a tiebreaker. Horve won the first 9-7, but Dean won the second set tiebreaker 7-2 and took the deciding super tiebreaker 10-8.

In his second match, Dean edged Wisconsin's Tomas Zlatohlavek. Dean won the first set 6-4, Zlatohlavek won the second set 6-4 and Dean took the super tiebreaker 10-6.

Gogineni had a bit of an easier time in his two matches, dispatching Denver's Nicolas Herrera 6-2, 6-2 and topping Texas A&M's Mathis Bondaz 7-5, 6-3.
