Bulldogs Soar in Match Against Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Yale women's soccer team blanked Seattle University, 4-0, at Championship Stadium. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 2-1-1, while the Redhawks fell to 2-4 overall.

"That was a big win for our group," said Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach. "To respond after a tough loss Friday, keep a shutout, and put four away is huge growth for our program. Obviously, this trip was a homecoming for me and a few players. To get our first road win since 2019, and the first for me as head coach, was truly special. This group has a lot of depth, and as I have said many times, I'm fired up to keep growing together."

  • 9' | Ellie Rappole broke open the scoring for Yale. Meredith Phillips had the ball on the left side of goal and tossed it toward Rappole for the tap-in finish.
  • 45' | After a shot ricocheted off the post, Addison Bray cleaned up the rebound and made it 2-0 Bulldogs.
  • 55' | On a corner, Rappole connected with Nana Yang, who hammered it with a heading finish.
