Bulldogs Fall to Princeton on the Road

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Yale men's soccer team fell to Princeton 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Myslik Field. Jack Jasinski scored the lone goal of the game for the Tigers.

With the win, the Tigers improved to 8-5 overall with a 4-1 record in Ivy League play. The Bulldogs dropped to 4-9-1 with a 1-4 mark in conference competition.

"I thought we had some really good periods of play tonight and did well to get in some good spots but we are coming up short with our final end product," said Kylie Stannard, 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "I know we have the quality to make more plays than we are, and if we can capitalize on one of these big moments, I really believe it will get the group back on track. I'm very proud of the fight we showed."

How it Happened
  • 7' | Yale forward Joe Farouz nearly got the Bulldogs on the board with a near-post shot towards goal. But the attempt was saved by Princeton keeper Andrew Samuels.
  • 24' | Princeton's lone goal came off a free kick from just outside the box off the leg of Jasinski.
Game Notes
  • Princeton picked up its first win over Yale since 2021.
  • Farouz recorded the only shot on goal for the Bulldogs.
  • Yale goalkeeper Chris Edwards made two saves.
