NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision to No. 1 Denver to close out a back-to-back opening weekend at Ingalls Rink.

• P1, 10:50 | Zach Wagnon charged into the zone and threw a shot on goal. The Denver goaltender made the stop, but Will Richter crashed the net and was able to slide the puck into the cage.

• Connor Sullivan and Briggs Gammill led Yale with six shots on goal, while the former had four on target and the latter had three.
• Rhys Bentham had three blocked shots, while Seiya Tanaka-Campbell, Wagnon, and Gammill had two each.
