Yale Continues Strong Play During Day Two of Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Yale University men's tennis team registered four victories on Saturday during day two of the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational.

The Bulldogs are 8-4 overall through the opening two days of competition.

Singles Results
  • Vignesh Gogineni won his second singles match of the weekend with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Gianluca Carlini of Georgia Tech.
  • Jason Shuler earned his second win over a SEC opponent in as many days with a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) triumph over Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes of Mississippi State.
  • Jim Ji notched a walkover win over Georgia Tech's Christophe Clement.
  • Eric Li dropped a three-setter to Alabama's Damien Nezar, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.

Doubles Results
  • Gogineni and Shuler teamed up for an 8-5 victory over Mississippi State's Guimares and Marshall Landry.
  • Li and Ji were defeated by Georgia Tech's Carlini and Clement, 8-2.
The Bulldogs return to action for day three of the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational on Sunday.
