Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Yale men's soccer team dropped its season finale to Brown 1-0 on Saturday evening at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Harri Sprofera scored in the 85th minute to give the Bears the victory.
With the victory, Brown improved to 8-7-1 with a 3-4 mark in the Ivy League. Yale finishes the season with a 4-11-1 record.
The Bulldogs senior class wrapped up the 2024 campaign with a four-year span that was one of the most successful in program history. The group led the team to the 2023 Ivy League Tournament Championship and the first NCAA Tournament win since 1999.
"I am forever grateful for this special group of seniors and the trust and loyalty they gave to me and this program," said
Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "They arrived during a very uncertain time with COVID but their commitment to see things out is a testament to their character and the level of care they have for each other and the program."
Stannard emphasized the pride and accomplishments of the senior class.
"Despite the numerous challenges this season, they can leave with their heads high knowing they have given everything they have, both in times of great program success, and more courageously, in times of adversity. To me, that's what it means to be part of the YMS family and showing the younger players what it means to them. Thank you," Stannard said.
