NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Danny Wolf's domination of the Ivy League weekly awards continues. Wolf, who scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Saturday's 80-78 win over Cornell, was named the league's player of the week for the third straight week and fifth time this season. He is just the seventh Ivy player to garner at least five player of the week awards in a single season. The most recent was Yale's
Justin Sears during the 2014-15 campaign.
In the come-from-behind victory on Saturday, 19 of Wolf's points came in the first half as he kept the Bulldogs within striking distance. He finished 10-of-17 from the field as Yale took over sole possession of first place in the Ivy League.
Wolf, who has posted double-doubles in three straight games and seven of his last eight, leads the league in rebounding (9.8) and is sixth in scoring (15.4 ppg.).
Matt Knowling, who hit the winning shot with three seconds remaining, was named to the Ivy Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs (16-6, 7-0 Ivy) are back on the road this weekend, traveling to Penn and Princeton.
