RESULTS
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team made a move on the second day of the Ivy League Championship at Brown. The Bulldogs had a strong scoring night and have moved into third place with 417.5 points.
Yale had three of the top eight finishers in the 1-meter diving.
Genevieve Thibodeau placed third with a score of 282.20,
Paige Lai was seventh (267.80) and
Lily Horenkamp finished eighth (266.40).
In the 200 individual medley, two Bulldogs advanced to the A Final.
Ava Franks was fifth with a time of 1:59.67 and
Jessey Li placed eighth in 2:01.63.
In the 500 freestyle,
Lilly Derivaux finished fourth with a time of 4:46.35.
The final event of the night was the 200 freestyle relay, and Yale finished fourth with a time of 1:31.02.
The competition resumes on Friday with the prelims at 11 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
