Caroline Riggs is making a big impact at her first Ivy League Championship. Riggs set a school record in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:12.65, which earned her a fourth-place finish.
It was another strong day for the Bulldogs, who sit in third place with 707 points. Princeton is atop the championship with 953 points followed by Harvard with 857.5 points.
Yale had two of the top three finishers in the 100 breaststroke.
Jessey Li was second in 1:00.34, which will her earn her second team All-Ivy recognition, while
Ava Franks placed third in 1:00.51. The two were barely edged out by Princeton's Margaux McDonald, who posted a winning time of 1:00.20.
Alex Massey had the Bulldogs' top finish in the 100 butterfly, placing 10th with a time of 53.85.
In the 200 freestyle,
Vivian Weng was eighth with a time of 1:50.35.
Quinn Murphy finished fourth in the 100 backstroke in 53.90.
The final event of the night was the 400 medley relay, and the Bulldogs finished fifth in 3:39.49.
The championship concludes on Saturday with the prelims at 11 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
