- Senior Mira Thakur set a PR in the 400m, running the event in just 56.51 seconds. Thakur also set a PR in the 200m, crossing the line in 24.98 seconds on her way to being Yale's top finisher. First year Sophie Spokes also set a PR of 25.68 and led three other Bulldogs to finish under 26 seconds in the 200m as well.
- In the 500m run, first year Gloria Guerrier was just a second off the school record, running a time of 1:13.40 to earn fourth place. Her sister, first year Victoria Guerrier, finished in fifth place, running a time of 1:13.58. Junior Bridget Vitu snagged seventh place and a PR of 1:15.39.
- In the triple jump, first year Alexandra Bonn finished seventh with a shiny new PR, jumping 11.75m. In other jumping events, senior Sydney Kunkler flew an impressive 5.17m in the long jump.
- Yale finished strong, ending the meet with two relay teams putting up excellent marks in the 4x400m relay. The team consisting of Victoria Guerrier, Spokes, Vitu and Gloria Guerrier finished second in their heat in 3:48.56, especially exciting because both the Guerriers and Spokes are first years.
Next weekend is another busy one for the Bulldogs. Some athletes will head up to Boston again for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Feb. 9-10. Yale's last home meet, the 17th Giegengack Invitational, will take place at Coxe Cage on Feb.10. Both meets will be great opportunities to tune up for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, hosted by Harvard at the end of February.
