Pascal Named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After leading the Yale defense with a game-high four caused turnovers in Sunday's 15-5 win at Dartmouth, sophomore defender Emmy Pascal (Lorton, Va.) has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week. The league announced the award Monday afternoon.

Pascal, who has started all 25 games of her Yale career, helped Yale to a season high with a team total of 16 caused turnovers Sunday. That was the Bulldogs' most in a game since also getting 16 CTs Feb. 18, 2023 vs. Vermont. Dartmouth's 26 turnovers Sunday were the most by the Big Green in a game this season (their previous high was 18).

Pascal and the Bulldogs held Dartmouth to its fewest goals in a game since an 18-5 loss to Boston College Mar. 29, 2023. The 10 goal margin of victory was Yale's largest margin of victory ever against Dartmouth.

Pascal is a graduate of St. Stephens and St. Agnes. She is the first Bulldog to earn a weekly award from the Ivy League this season.

No. 16 Yale (8-0, 2-0 Ivy League) hosts No. 23 Brown Saturday. The Bulldogs are 8-0 for the first time since 2001 and are one of three remaining unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I women's lacrosse.
