FAIRFIELD, Conn. – In a two-game series in non-conference play, the Yale softball team took down Sacred Heart, 12-3 and 6-4, at Pioneer Park. The Bulldogs improved to 10-18, while the Pioneers fell to 10-17.

Game 1: Yale 12, Sacred Heart 3
- T1 | The Bulldogs jumped out of the gates on a high. Carolyn Skotz knocked in Isabella Fortini with a RBI single to center field for the game's first run. Sam Goodcase walked with the bases loaded to score their second run and a tag-up on a sacrifice fly scored the third. With runners on first and third, Elena Ohe knocked a double through the right side. The Bulldogs took a commanding six-run lead when Isabella Fortini ripped a two RBI double through the left side.
- B1 | Sacred Heart responded immediately as their first batter popped a solo home run.
- T2 | The first big hit of the day for Sophie Woodridge saw the Bulldogs grab the run back and led by six once again.
- T3 | With the bases loaded and two outs, Alex Perren drew a walk. From there, Goodcase picked up a rally hit with a single to center that scored two runs. The Bulldogs scored two more runs to close out the inning and led by 11.
- B4 | Sacred Heart generated some offense in the fourth, scoring two runs on three hits.
- The Bulldogs' hot first and third innings and a tight defensive effort run-ruled the Pioneers to close out the game one victory.

Game 2: Yale 6, Sacred Heart 4
- The first four innings of play were scoreless on both sides as they combined for just one hit.
- T4 | Yale struck first again in game two, and who but Sophie Woodridge to get it rolling. She doubled to left center to score the first run. A Willa Ferrer single scored Woodridge from second. The Bulldogs capped the scoring with a RBI single and a three-run lead.
- B5 | Sacred Heart picked up two runs in the fifth to come within one.
- T6 | Yale responded right away in its next offensive attempt as Lauren Perren blasted a two-run home run.
- T7 | The Bulldogs added another run in the seventh with the bat of Woodridge who extended Yale's lead with another RBI double.
- B7 | The Pioneers mustered up two runs in the bottom of the seventh in an attempt to catch the Bulldogs, but they were held off any Yale went on to win it.

Notes
- Sophie Woodridge went 5-for-7 on the day, all five hits being doubles, and had three RBI and two runs. The last person to hit three doubles in a game was Libby Peoples on April 3, 2023 at Cornell.
- Libby Peoples went 4-for-8 with four runs scored.
- Lauren Perren picked up her second home run of the season and the 10th of her career.
- Emma Taylor recorded her seventh win in the circle, while Hannah Turner picked up her second win of the season.
