NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Junior attacker
Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) of the No. 16 Yale women's lacrosse team has been named honorable mention ILWomen Midseason All-America. Inside Lacrosse announced the honors Thursday.
Collignon leads the Bulldogs in goals and points (22-2-24) and is second on the team in draw controls with 31. In this past Sunday's 15-5 win at Dartmouth she scored the 100th goal of her Yale career. She ranks seventh in the Ivy League in draw controls per game (3.88) and ninth in the Ivy League in goals per game (2.75). She has five hat tricks in eight games, including two games in which she scored five goals.
Collignon is on the Women's Watch List for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the best collegiate lacrosse player in the nation. She is a graduate of Hinsdale Central, where she was a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American.
The last Bulldogs to earn midseason All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse were Collignon and junior midfielder
Fallon Vaughn (Concord, Mass.), who were honorable mention selections last year. Prior to that Yale had not had a selection since
Izzy Nixon '19, who was selected honorable mention midseason Media All-America as a draw control specialist in March of 2018.
Inside Lacrosse selected four first-team attackers, four second-team attackers and four third-team attackers for All-America honors. Collignon was one of 22 attackers to earn honorable mention recognition.
