NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale softball team fell to Princeton, 7-6 and 7-3, in a doubleheader at 5K Corral Field. The Bulldogs fell to 18-22 overall and 12-5 in the Ivy League, while the Tigers improved to 22-11 overall and 10-4 in the conference.

Game 1: Princeton 7, Yale 6
- T1 | Princeton jumped out to a one-run lead with a solo home run.
- B1 | The Bulldogs responded as Sophie Woodridge hit a RBI single to score Skotz, who had reached in the lead-off spot on a walk.
- T4 | Two scoreless innings went by before Princeton broke the deadlock with a two-run home run to left center.
- B5 | The Tigers held the lead until the fifth when the Bulldogs found the equalizer. Yale rallied with two outs after Willa Ferrer singled to right field with two runners on. With the game tied, Ferrer's pinch runner, Ava Kang, scored on a wild pitch to take the lead.
- T6 | Princeton tied it in the top of the sixth.
- B6 | It was the bat of Ferrer in the bottom of the sixth that gave Yale a two-run lead after she roped a two RBI double to left center.
- T7 | The Tigers had the answer as they grabbed three runs on three hits, regaining the lead.
- Yale couldn't find the bats in the bottom half of the frame, leading Princeton to a game one victory.

Game 2: Princeton 7, Yale 3
- T3 | Princeton picked up three runs on four hits in the third inning.
- T4 | In the fourth, it was the Tigers again extending their lead to seven.
- B6 | Yale attempted a comeback in the sixth as Willa Ferrer hit a two RBI single to center field followed by Libby Peoples knocking in Ferrer's pinch runner one batter later. The hits from Ferrer and Peoples help cut Princeton's lead to four, but wasn't enough as the Tigers' four-run fourth inning was the difference.

- Carolyn Skotz recorded her 100th career hit for Yale.
- Skotz went 3-for-6 with four runs, three walks, and a stolen base on the day.
- Willa Ferrer went 2-for-3 in game one with a double, four RBI, and a walk.
