NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale softball team fell to Princeton, 6-3, in the final game of the weekend series. With the loss, Yale moved to 18-23 overall and 12-6 in the Ivy, while Princeton improved to 23-11 overall and 11-4 in the conference.
 
Prior to the start of today's game, the program honored its five-member senior class in captain Carolyn Skotz, Willa Ferrer, Gretchen Bunovsky, Carmen Muscolina, and Sam Goodcase.
 
Scoring Summary

• T1 | Princeton jumped out with a pair of runs in the first.
• B3 | After a scoreless second inning, Sophie Woodridge worked the count to give Yale a baserunner. Carolyn Skotz doubled down the right field line to score a run and split the Tigers lead in half.
• T4 | The Tigers responded right away with a two-out RBI double and extended their lead back to two.
• T5 | Princeton picked up a two-run home run and led by four.
• B5 | Sam Goodcase bombed a solo home run to left field.
• T6 | A RBI single with two outs scored Princeton's sixth run of the game.

 
Notes

• Sam Goodcase's home run was her second of the season and the 11^th of her career.
• Goodcase went 1-for-2 with two runs, and a walk.
• Carolyn Skotz registered her 15^th RBI of the season and her seventh double.
• Sophie Woodridge went 2-for-3 on the day with one walk.
