LEXINGTON, Ky. – First year
Victoria Guerrier represented Yale in the 800m at the NCAA East First Round meet on Thursday evening at Kentucky. Guerrier finished sixth in her heat with a time of 2:06.97, her fastest mark since her personal record of 2:04.93 at the Wake Forest Invitational on Apr. 19. The next round of the 800m, which will take place on Saturday, will consist of the top three finishers from each heat plus the next six fastest times for a total of 24 athletes. Guerrier missed out on one of the automatic qualifying spots in her heat by 2.38 seconds. She was 1.94 seconds away from the final at-large spot in the quarterfinals. Full results can be found

Senior
Kyra Pretre is also racing for Yale at the First Round meet. Pretre will compete in the 3k steeplechase on Saturday, May 25 at 5:40 PM EST. Pretre, along with 15 other athletes, will race in the second heat. In the 3k steeplechase, the top three athletes from each heat plus the next three fastest times advance to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held on June 6 and June 8 in Eugene, Ore.
