NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It's a big week for
John Poulakidas, who is in Las Vegas participating in the Jayson Tatum Elite Camp. Poulakidas is one of only 14 college players from across the country selected to the camp, which began on Sunday and concludes on Tuesday.
Poulakidas, a rising senior, is coming off an outstanding junior season at Yale that saw him earn second team All-Ivy and second team NABC District 13 recognition. He started all 33 games and led the team in three pointers (83) and was second in scoring (13.4 ppg.). The 83 treys were the second most in a season in school history. Poulakidas finished third in the Ivy League in three-pointers made (2.52 per game) and 10th in three-point field goal percentage (.405). He turned in a memorable performance in Yale's NCAA Tournament victory over Auburn, scoring 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field, including 6-of-9 from three-point range.
The Jayson Tatum Elite Camp is an invitation-only camp for the top high school and college wings in the country. Tatum is fresh off helping the Boston Celtics win the 18th NBA Championship in franchise history.
