NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Four members of the Yale men's basketball team —
Jordan Brathwaite,
Riley Fox,
Trevor Mullin, and
Jack Sullivan — have been selected to represent the USA in the 3x3 Basketball competition at the 2026 FISU Americas Cup in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, taking place May 17–29.
The tournament, held every two years, is the qualifier for the FISU 3x3 World Cup, which will be held in 2027 in China. The top two teams from the Americas Cup will qualify for the 2027 FISU World Cup, featuring over 125 student-athletes from more than 30 Central and South American countries. The U.S. will be represented by two teams made up of players from Yale and Harvard, the Ivy League's top teams this past season. The Bulldogs will compete as USA Blue, while Ben Eisendrath, Dutch Dowdell, Joseph Quartey, and Ryan Sullivan from the Crimson will compete as USA Red.
"I am thrilled to have my team made up of Ivy League players again this year. These young men come from two of the top teams from the Ivy. They play for great coaches and really understand the game. They play a perfect style for this kind of tournament," said Head Coach Kelly Combs.
