COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Recent graduate Elle Hartje and rising junior Jordan Ray of the Yale women's ice hockey team have been selected to participate in the 2024 USA Hockey Women's National Festival in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The 2024 Festival will be held August 4-11 at the Olympic Center. Bringing together the top American female players from the U18 level to the national team, the Festival will assist in the evaluation process for the 2024-25 U.S. Women's National Team set to compete during the 2024-25 Rivalry Series in November and December, and the selection process for the U18 and Collegiate Women's Select Team rosters for the U18 & Collegiate Series against Canada that will take place August 14-17 in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Hartje will participate in the festival for the second consecutive year. The Detroit native is very familiar with USA Hockey competitions after competing as a member of the 2018 U.S. Under-18 Women's Select team that played at the 2018 U-18 Series against Team Canada in Calgary, Alberta. Hartje also participated in the 2017 and 2018 USA Hockey Women's National Festivals and 2017 and 2018 Girls U-18 Select Player Development Camp. Last season, she was named to the USA Hockey Collegiate Select team.

Hartje wrapped up an illustrious career with the Bulldogs, ending her Yale tenure as the program leader in points and assists. She received numerous national and conference honors and was drafted in the fifth round of the PWHL Draft by New York in June. 

Ray earned her second invitation to the USA Hockey festival with her selection to the roster. The Viera, Fla. native is coming off a strong sophomore campaign at Yale in which she led the team in goals (13) and was second on the squad in points (25) behind Hartje who had 40.
