Holmes, Ryan Power Bulldogs to Victory Against Seton Hall

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Behind the Phebe Ryan's first half goal and a stellar performance from goalkeeper Kyla Holmes, the Yale women's soccer team defeated Seton Hall, 1-0, at Owen T. Carroll Field.

"Proud of our group for grinding out the win today. I thought we started the first half at a much higher tempo than previous games and were rewarded with a great goal from Phebe [Ryan]," said Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach. "We weathered a bit of a storm in the second half, but Kyla stepped up big and so did our entire team. We played with depth today and any time you can head home with a win on the road is a good day."

Game Summary
  • 35' | Vienna Lundstedt powered through two Seton Hall defenders and found Phebe Ryan at the top of the box. Ryan ripped a shot from her left foot that hit the right post and ricocheted in.
