CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Yale men's tennis team is off to a fast start at the Chowderfest Tournament at Harvard. First years
Edward Liao, Krish Gupta and
Jason Shuler all won the first matches of their careers.
Liao posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Notre Dame's Brian Bilsey, Gupta beat Notre Dame's Noah Becker 6-2, 7-5 and Shuler cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Notre Dame's Jayanth Devaiah.
Shuler also was part of a doubles victory, teaming with
Vignesh Gogineni to defeat Illinois' Tyler Bowers and Zachary Viiala 6-3.
The tournament continues on Saturday and Sunday.
