Bulldogs Win Collegiate and Junior Varsity Titles on Final Day of Head of the Charles Weekend

BOSTON – The Yale women's crew team wrapped up its fall slate with strong performances at the Head of the Charles on Sunday, winning the collegiate eight title for the third-straight year and was the top finisher in the second varsity. All three Yale crews that competed throughout the weekend earned first-place finishes in their respective categories.

"It was as good a day as we've had at the Head of the Charles," said Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "Three crews and three gold medals is an exceptional performance. I'm super proud of this team."

The Results

Stroked by Anna Keating, the Bulldogs' championship A boat finished fifth overall and first among college championship crews, crossing the line at 15:45.537. Rounding out the top five collegiate finishers were Brown (15:45.743), Radcliffe (15:48.641), Princeton (15:56.280), and Dartmouth (16:06.000).
Stroked by Tess Peake, Yale's championship B boat finished fourth overall and was the fastest second varsity (2V) crew with a time of 15:44.492. The next fastest 2V crew, Radcliffe, finished at 16:13.689.
