FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Despite controlling the match with 21 shots and 61% possession, the Yale women's soccer team fell short in a midweek matchup, dropping a 2-1 decision to Sacred Heart on Wednesday evening at Park Ave Field.
The Pioneers improved to 9-7-1, and the Bulldogs dropped to 3-10-0.
"It's been a tough year for us with results because we are generating and creating more than enough to win games," said
Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer. "We have to be better in both 18's and that is our focus going into the final two matches of the year."
