Bulldogs Drop Road Contest at Merrimack

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Yale men's hockey team fell in a non-conference road contest at Merrimack College, 4-1. With the result, Yale moves to 4-8 on the season, while the Warriors improved to 6-10.

Period 1: Merrimack 1, Yale 0
  • Merrimack opened the scoring late in the period with a power-play goal.
Period 2: Merrimack 2, Yale 0
  • The Warriors added to their lead with another goal in the closing minutes of the second.
Period 3: Merrimack 4, Yale 1
  • The Bulldogs nearly cut the deficit early in the period, but a Yale goal was waved off due to offsides. Minutes later, Merrimack pushed its lead to three.
  • Yale got on the board with a power-play goal at the 11:39 mark of the third period. Tom Molson moved the puck to Hughie Hooker at the blue line, and Hooker slid it down to Ronan O'Donnell for a one-timer finish.
  • Merrimack sealed the outcome with an empty-net goal with 18.5 seconds remaining.
