HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Yale women's hockey team fell to No. 5 Colgate, 3-0, on Friday evening on the road. The Raiders tallied one goal in each period to lock up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming ECAC Hockey Tournament.
With the victory, Colgate improved to 26-7-0 overall with a 17-4-0 mark in conference play. The team secured a first-round bye in the postseason tournament and are locked into the No. 2 seed behind Cornell, who clinched the top position on Friday evening. The Bulldogs fell to 15-11-2 overall with a 10-10-1 record in ECAC play. With one regular-season game remaining, Yale sits in sixth place, half point ahead of Princeton.
